Todd Schmucker

Director, Data Sourcing and Strategy, Balyasny Asset Management LP

Todd Schmucker joined Balyasny Asset Management’s New York office in October 2016 to lead the firm’s efforts in sourcing and managing all alternative data and research relationships utilized by the firm’s investment professionals.  Todd has nearly 20 years of professional experience and joined Balyasny from Point72 Asset Management, where he was an Associate Director on the Data Sourcing & Strategy team for six years.  Prior to Point72, Todd worked in Institutional Equity Sales roles at Strategas Research Partners and at Goldman Sachs.  He started his career as an Associate in Investment Banking for JP Morgan Securities.  Todd graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Villanova University where he was also a walk-on member of the school’s Division 1 varsity baseball team.  Todd holds a Master’s in Business Administration from New York University, Stern School of Business. He currently resides with his family in Fairfield, CT after living in Manhattan for nearly 15 years.
