Quentin Koffey

Portfolio Manager, D.E. Shaw

Mr. Koffey is the Portfolio Manager for Strategic Investments at the D. E. Shaw group (“D. E. Shaw”), a global investment and technology development firm with over $50 billion in assets under management.  Based on extensive research and consultation with well-respected and highly experienced operating partners, Mr. Koffey seeks to work actively with management teams of portfolio companies to unlock long-term value for shareholders. Mr. Koffey engages actively with management teams, boards of directors, and shareholders of portfolio companies in strategic, operational, and corporate governance matters. Prior to joining D. E. Shaw, Mr. Koffey was a Portfolio Manager at Elliott Management where he built a reputation of engaging constructively with public companies. Investments where Mr. Koffey’s involvement has been publicly known have included CenterPoint Energy Inc., EQT Corporation, Hess Corporation, Lowe’s Companies Inc., and Marathon Petroleum Corporation.
 
Mr. Koffey holds a BA from Yale College, a JD from Stanford Law School, and an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business.
