G. Mason Morfit

President and CIO, ValueAct

G. MASON MORFIT is a Partner, the President and the Chief Investment Officer of ValueAct Capital.  Mr. Morfit has also served as a member of the Management Committee at ValueAct Capital since 2007.  Mr. Morfit is a former director of Advanced Medical Optics, Inc., C.R. Bard, Inc., Immucor, Inc., Microsoft Corporation, MSD Performance, Inc., Solexa, Inc. and Valeant Pharmaceuticals International.  Prior to joining ValueAct Capital at inception, Mr. Morfit worked in equity research for Credit Suisse First Boston’s health care group where he focused on the managed care industry.  Mr. Morfit has lectured on issues of corporate governance and executive compensation at Stanford Law School’s Director’s College, the Graduate School of Business at Stanford University, and the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley.  In addition, Mr. Morfit serves on the Board of Directors of the Tipping Point Community.  He has a B.A. from Princeton University and is a CFA charterholder.
