Brandon R. Elliott is a Managing Director at FTI Consulting, based in Washington D.C. Mr. Elliott is a member of the Capital Markets Advisory team within FTI Consulting’s Strategic Communications practice.

Mr. Elliott specializes in corporate strategy and investor relations advisory work, drawing on his nearly 30 years of experience in capital markets and as a public company executive. Mr. Elliott advises public and private company executives and boards of directors on capital markets events and complex issues, including IPOs, executive turnover and shareholder activism, ensuring company narratives resonate with the investment community to protect and promote valuation.

Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Elliott was chief executive officer at the NYSE-listed Northern Oil and Gas, Inc. He led significant restructuring and acquisition transactions totaling more than $2 billion. Additionally, Mr. Elliott advised its Board of Directors on executive turnover, crisis communications, restructuring and shareholder activism and led investor relations.

reviously, Mr. Elliott led a turnaround of the investor relations program, including the launch of a $3 billion joint-venture process, at CONSOL Energy, Inc, a NYSE-listed company, where he served as the vice president of investor relations.

Mr. Elliott spent 12 years as a portfolio manager and analyst at institutional investment management firms Friess Associates and Cardinal Capital Management.

Mr. Elliott holds a B.A. in Psychology from Dartmouth College, the Chartered Financial Analyst (“CFA”) designation and the Director Certification designation from the National Association of Corporate Directors (“NACD”). He currently serves on the National Investor Relations Institute’s (“NIRI”) education committee and assists with programing on NIRI’s Capital Area Chapter. He previously served as co-president of the NIRI’s Twin Cities Chapter in Minnesota.
