Matt DiGuiseppe

Matthew DiGuiseppe serves as a Vice President on the Stewardship & Corporate Governance Team of Nuveen, the investment management arm of TIAA. Nuveen is a solutions-driven firm that offers nearly every public and private asset class in every type of investment wrapper. Nuveen has nearly $900 billion in assets under management.  

Mr. DiGuiseppe and his colleagues in Stewardship & Corporate Governance work to enhance the corporate governance and social responsibility practices of public companies held within Nuveen’s investment portfolio with the objective of increasing shareholder value and improving long term performance of targeted companies.  Each of the investment affiliates under the Nuveen umbrella makes independent proxy voting decisions, facilitated in part by the team. 

Mr. DiGuiseppe oversees the team’s proxy voting and engagement activities and pursues other commercial opportunities. 

Prior to joining TIAA Mr. Diguiseppe served as a Client Relations Manager for Institutional Shareholder Services (ISS).
