Photograph of Darin Arita, CFA, IRC Darin served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Prudential Financial’s International Businesses through the fall of 2023 and was based out of Tokyo, Japan. In this role, Darin had oversight for all financial aspects of International Businesses.

Prior to this role, Darin led the Investor Relations team for Prudential where he helped to architect a less capital-intensive, more nimble strategy and shifted the communications from numbers reporting to storytelling. IR Magazine recognized the team as #1 Investor Relations in Financial Services and #1 Investor Relations in a Corporate Transaction.
 
Darin joined Prudential in April 2018 from Voya Financial, where he led the Investor Relations and Enterprise Financial Planning & Analysis teams. In his role he also helped the firm separate from ING Group and conduct its initial public offering. Institutional Investor ranked Darin as #1 Investor Relations Executive and the firm as #1 Investor Relations Program in the Insurance industry.

Darin previously served as Deutsche Bank’s senior equity research analyst following the life insurance sector. In 2011, The Wall Street Journal ranked Darin as the #1 Life Insurance Analyst in the “Best on the Street” survey.
Prior to Deutsche Bank, Arita worked at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette. He began his career at Arthur Andersen’s Economic Analysis Group in Washington, D.C.
 
Darin served on the board of the National Investor Relations Institute from 2020 to 2023 and the board of the New York chapter of the National Investor Relations Institute from 2015 to 2019. He currently serves on the board of the New York Choral Society.
 
Darin graduated with honors from Johns Hopkins University with a Bachelor of Arts in economics. He also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst and Investor Relations Charter (IRC)® designations.
