David Calusdian

President, Sharon Merrill Associates

David C. Calusdian is President of Sharon Merrill, a nationally recognized investor relations strategic advisory firm. He coaches C-level officers and board members in executive presence and communications skills, and provides high-level strategic counsel to clients on investor relations and communications issues such as corporate disclosure, media strategy, management transitions, shareholder activism and earnings guidance.

Prior to joining Sharon Merrill Associates in 1995, David served as an account executive for the communications firm Jack Walsh & Associates. Previously, David was the director of public relations at Emerson College, where he received both a B.A. and an M.A. in communications. He also has served as an adjunct instructor at Emerson College, teaching investor relations, public relations and persuasive speaking. A former board member of the National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI) and president of its Boston chapter, David is a frequent speaker and panelist at conferences sponsored by organizations such as NIRI, NASDAQ, the New York Stock Exchange and the Public Relations Society of America. He has taught NIRI’s “Writing for Investor Relations” seminar since 2011.
