Michele Backman, IRC Director, IR Advisory Group, Depositary Receipts, Deutsche Bank Michele Backman is a senior relationship management professional with more than 20 years of experience across capital markets, investor relations, institutional sales, business development, global project management, and talent management. Currently, she is the New York-based investor relations advisor for Deutsche Bank’s depositary receipts issuers, including Russia/CIS, Europe, Latin America, Africa, India, and the Middle East. Prior to Deutsche Bank she originated and led the Corporate Access platform at two of the world's largest banks, HSBC and BNP Paribas. She was instrumental in developing this product across all countries and sectors, liaising with the corporate C-suite as well as institutional asset managers. She spent seven years with Thomson Reuters as a lead investor relations consultant and relationship manager for Fortune 500 companies, interacting daily with the C-suite as a trusted partner and adviser. She began her career working with USAID and the World Bank. Michele received her Master of Science in Development Studies (Economics) from the University of London - School of Oriental and African Studies, and her Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service from Georgetown University. She is a member of the National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI), an IRC charter holder, and a professional mentor for Women on Wall Street (WOWS).
