Chris Kettmann is a managing director in the FTI Strategic Communications practice and is based in Chicago.

For the past 12 years, Mr. Kettmann has advised public and private companies of all sizes and from all geographies on developing and executing comprehensive, strategic communications strategies. His clients have spanned a variety of industries, with a particular focus on companies in the energy and industrial sectors. Mr. Kettmann’s work has included extensive messaging, crisis management, and market intelligence counsel, incorporating in-depth research and analysis with more than a decade of practical, hands-on experience optimizing relationships with Wall Street. Mr. Kettmann has had considerable experience working on initial public offerings, M&A transactions and restructurings, in addition to providing communications and capital markets advisory services to a client involved in the Gulf of Mexico oil spill.

Mr. Kettmann has also spoken at several communications industry events on topics such as the evolution of hedge funds, the impact of shareholder activism, M&A trends in the Oil & Gas industry and building best practice investor relations programs. 

Prior to joining FTI, Mr. Kettmann’s experience included a strong emphasis on both quantitative analysis and client service. During his tenure as an ocean marine underwriter at Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company, Mr. Kettmann analyzed companies’ financial statements and loss histories in an effort to quantify risk and construct corresponding policies.

As Co-Head of RBC Capital Markets Global Energy Research, Kurt is jointly responsible for a team of more than 25 analysts and associates covering energy exploration and development and the services sector. Among his key priorities are the development of overall strategy and vision with respect to energy, the coordination of insightful research on macro themes and overall investment strategy for the energy sector and acting as senior spokesman for the Global Energy team's coordinated view. In addition, Kurt also has coverage of a universe of services stocks. He is a top-ranked analyst (Greenwich) and has placed first in The Wall Street Journal's annual all-star balloting for earnings estimate accuracy

For the last six years, Mr. Waller was responsible for Range’s for all the crude oil and natural gas marketing of Range production and midstream relationships. Currently, Mr. Waller focuses on derivative hedging of Range’s production and basis differentials. Mr. Waller is significantly involved in Range’s investor relations and corporate communications efforts. His team won the “Best Investor Relations” in 2008 by the Oil and Gas Investor Magazine and placed second on the All-American Team ranking in 2009. He has over 30 years experience in the exploration and production sector. Previously, Mr. Waller served in various capacities at Snyder Oil Corporation and its various affiliates including serving on the Board of Directors of Range from 1988 to 1994 and Patina Oil and Gas. Mr. Waller is a petroleum landman and CPA. He spent four years working with the full universe of vendors to focus on the Wattenberg field in the DJ Basin of Colorado to lower cost and maximize completions of wells while at Snyder Oil Corporation. After the merger of Snyder into Snyder Santa Fe Resources which was later acquired by Devon Energy, Mr. Waller joined Range in 1999 to initially restructure Range’s capital structure. Mr. Waller earned a B.A. in accounting from Harding University.

Travis Windle, Vice President in the Strategic Communications practice of FTI Consulting, serves as spokesman and strategic consultant to some of the nation’s leading oil and gas companies and coalitions, including Shell Oil Company, Noble Energy and the Marcellus Shale Coalition. Prior to joining FTI, Travis served in several senior communications and policy roles on Capitol Hill, including as communications director for Rep. John Peterson, press secretary for House Republican Conference Chairman Adam Putnam and as Republican communications director for the House Financial Services Committee.
