Bio
Mr. Schenker manages the consulting projects of Prestige Economics, LLC and is responsible for writing commentary, giving external presentations, and producing economic and market forecasts. Mr. Schenker is frequently quoted by the press, including the Wall Street Journal, CNBC, and Bloomberg. Mr. Schenker regularly attends exclusive OPEC and IEF meetings, and frequently presents to central banks, governmental bodies, and industry groups. He recently appeared on the CNBC special “Beyond the Barrel.” Mr. Schenker is also a contributor to Bloomberg, Dow Jones, Reuters, and Platts Consensus surveys for economic indicators, energy, metals, and foreign exchange. He has been named one of the most accurate forecasters of U.S. non-farm payrolls, as well as crude oil, natural gas, industrial metals, precious metals, aluminum, and nickel prices by Bloomberg.

Prior to founding Prestige Economics, Mr. Schenker worked for McKinsey & Company as a Risk Specialist and Senior Consultant, where he was responsible for directing teams on six continents in numerous industries, including trading and risk initiatives in foreign exchange, rates, and over a dozen different commodities. Prior to joining McKinsey, Mr. Schenker had worked for Wachovia using the functional titles of Economist, International Economist, Chief Energy Economist, and Commodity Economist. Mr. Schenker holds a Bachelor’s with distinction in History and German from UVA, an MA in German from UNC Chapel Hill, and an MA in Applied Economics from UNC Greensboro.

He also holds a Graduate Certificate in Professional Development from UNC Chapel Hill, a Graduate Certificate in Financial Planning from Texas A&M Commerce and a Graduate Certificate in Finance from The American College. He has earned the professional designations of ChFC® (Chartered Financial Consultant), ERP® (Energy Risk Professional), and CFP® (Certified Financial Planner). Mr. Schenker is a member of the National Association for Business Economics, the Global Association of Risk Professionals, and the Global Interdependence Center.
