Bob Burton is Managing Director of Lambert, Edwards & Associate’s Financial Communications Practice Group. Bob has overseen and supported IR activities for 28 years working for and with companies ranging in size from micro- to mega-cap, including leading the investor relations functions at The Home Depot, Kmart Corporation, U.S. Shoe, Penn Central and Insilco Corporation. Bob also has seven years of experience as a daily journalist in Texas and Connecticut. Bob has worked with a variety of regional and worldwide companies including Wal-Mart Stores, Masco Corporation, Gander Mountain and United Rentals Inc. Both as an advisor to companies and as member of the senior management team, Bob has hands-on experience in managing corporate activities such as initial public offerings, introducing new management, repositioning corporate strategy, turnarounds, acquisitions and divestitures, balance sheet recapitalization, shareholder proxy fights, and hostile tender offers. He is experienced in managing relationships with analysts, shareholders, bondholders, creditors, customers, proxy solicitors, the NYSE, NASDAQ, and the financial media. Bob has a B.A. degree in English from Beloit College and an M.B.A with a marketing concentration from the University of Connecticut. He has been a member of NIRI since 1988 and is past president of the Atlanta chapter. He is also a past member of the finance and audit committee for U.S. Squash. Board Term 2012 - 2016
