Jenny R. Kobin is vice president, investor relations and corporate communications for Inspire Pharmaceuticals, a biopharmaceutical company based in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina. Kobin has more than 15 years experience working with the investment community, including broad investor relations roles in diverse industries including banking, software and healthcare, at companies ranging from small to large market capitalization with listings on NASDAQ and NYSE.
Prior to Inspire, Kobin served as director of investor relations and corporate communications at TriPath Imaging, Inc.; director of investor relations at SciQuest, Inc. and CCB Financial Corp. and manager of investor communications at Bank of America Corp. Kobin began her career in investment banking with J.C. Bradford & Co. (now part of UBS Securities) and worked on initial public offerings and private placements.
Kobin is co-founder and past president of the NIRI Triangle Chapter of North Carolina and was co-founder, treasurer and board director of the NIRI-Charlotte Chapter. She helped to create SouthEast Invest, an annual investor conference bringing together leading public companies based in the Southeast with regional institutional investors.
Kobin received a B.S. in Commerce from the University of Virginia and an M.B.A. from Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
